Message of condolence on the death of undergraduate Denis Lukashkov

Dear Cornellians,

It is with great sadness that I share news of the death of one of our students, Denis Lukashkov, a 20-year-old junior and recent transfer to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences' Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management. Denis died on Saturday, September 7, in Dobbs Ferry, New York. Before joining us, he lived in Mamaroneck, New York, and had attended SUNY Albany. Associate Professor David Smith wrote that he and other members of the finance faculty at SUNY Albany recognized Denis' immense talent and hard work, and identified him as a future leader in their student-managed investment fund.

On behalf of the entire Cornell community, I want to extend my deepest condolences to Denis' family and his friends. Please join me in taking a moment to acknowledge and remember this member of our community.

Sincerely,

Susan H. Murphy
Vice President for Student and Academic Services
