University Statements

On behalf of President David Skorton and President-elect Elizabeth Garrett, I am pleased to announce that searches for Cornell's next provost and vice president for student and campus life are underway, with the formation of search committees and the selection of search firms. We expect that both positions will be filled by next fall. The composition of the search committees themselves is broadly representative of our campus constituencies, and includes faculty, staff and students. We also are committed to conducting comprehensive searches by utilizing the expertise of search firms to assist in identifying and successfully recruiting the strongest possible candidates for these key members of the senior leadership team.
