Message of condolence from President Skorton
Dear Cornellians,
Yesterday we learned with sadness that we have lost a member of our community, Kendrick Castro, 22, of Reston, VA, who died in a swimming accident in Fall Creek gorge. Kendrick graduated on Sunday, receiving a bachelor's degree from the College of Arts and Sciences in Information Science, and had aspirations to continue composing electronic music following his graduation.
On behalf of the entire Cornell community, I convey my sincere condolences to Kendrick's family and his many friends. Please join me in keeping them foremost in your thoughts in the days ahead as we mourn this tragic loss of life.
Plans to commemorate Kendrick's life will be made in the days to come in consultation with his family.
Sincerely,
David Skorton
President
