Phi Gamma Delta placed on interim suspension

The Office of Fraternities, Sororities and Independent Living has announced that as of February 23, Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) fraternity has been placed by Cornell on interim suspension as a result of alleged hazing involving the consumption of alcohol. As per the Recognition Policy, alcohol should not be a part of any recruitment or new member activities, formal or informal.

Interim suspension is a pause in the operations of a chapter during which the chapter may not engage in any activities other than operation of its residence. Interim suspension is used when details of a credible report compel the university to cease activities of the organization for the safety of the members, those joining or guests.
