Trustees express support for Greek letter organization reforms

Today, President Pollack announced a series of policy reforms for Greek letter organizations at Cornell in response to a troubling pattern of hazing and related misconduct. President Pollack has our full and unanimous support in instituting these measures.

Cornell’s Greek letter organizations have a long and rich tradition of contributing to the university and to the greater community. Hazing and related behaviors that threaten the health and safety of students is a stain on that legacy.

We share President Pollack’s hope that these reforms will lead to an elevated level of behavior within the Greek letter organizations that fully embraces our shared values as Cornellians.
