Vice President Lombardi offers condolences on death of Iris Zhu '21

I am deeply saddened to share the news that Iris Zhu ‘21, a student in the School of Hotel Administration, died last weekend while receiving treatment for a severe illness near her home in Maryland.

We welcomed Iris as an undergraduate student in 2017. She left a lasting impression on those she met through her classes and participation in student groups here at Cornell. On behalf of the Cornell community, my deepest condolences go out to Iris’ family and friends.

For those in need, there will be a community support meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 4:30 p.m. in Room 391, Statler Hall.

Sincerely,

Ryan Lombardi
Vice President for Student & Campus Life
