Vice President Lombardi offers condolences on the death of Wai Hang (Will) Lee
It is with deep sadness that I share the news that Wai Hang (Will) Lee, a doctoral student in Chemistry and Chemical Biology, died unexpectedly on Monday.
A graduate of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Will joined the graduate program at Cornell in Fall 2018. He had an interest in synthetic organic chemistry and studied reaction methodology development. Will enjoyed bouldering at Lindseth Climbing Center and was an avid home cook.
On behalf of Cornell, I extend my sincere condolences to Will’s family, friends and faculty. Please keep them in your thoughts as we all struggle to process this profound loss. I encourage anyone who may be in need or support to use the resources listed below.
Sincerely,
Ryan Lombardi
Vice President for Student and Campus Life
