Gathering ideas to improve operations

Dear colleagues,

Over the past month, President Kotlikoff and I have deeply appreciated the thoughtful questions and ideas shared by faculty and staff at 18 town halls held across the Ithaca Campus, Cornell AgriTech, and Cornell Tech communities. Your input has contributed significantly to our collective work to reimagine the university’s operations and plan for Cornell’s long-term stability in ways that advance our core values and signature strengths.

As we carry forward with this work, please submit your ideas for streamlining functions and improving existing processes, practices, and tools at this Qualtrics form or by emailing streamlining@cornell.edu. Submissions to the form are anonymous, but you may choose to be contacted about your idea or invited to a related working group. We are grateful for staff and faculty participation in this effort, as you are most familiar with how work gets done on and across our campuses – from research and instruction to student services and administrative operations.

On an ongoing basis, Cornell senior leadership will assess the ideas submitted and consider how to proceed with implementation. Thank you for your commitment to Cornell and your dedication to sustaining our institutional excellence.

Sincerely,

Kavita Bala
Provost
