Communicating about Resilient Cornell

Dear colleagues,

We write to share updates about Resilient Cornell and to urge staff and faculty to bookmark the Resilient Cornell website and visit often to stay updated. We are entering a period in the Resilient Cornell process where we will be posting frequent updates to that site about the progress of the workforce realignment teams and other important news. This will be a primary channel through which we provide updates on progress, and we will also share a link to those updates in Faculty and Staff news. We will reserve campuswide updates for items affecting the entire university community.

Last week, we shared an update on how Resilient Cornell work groups are evaluating campus services and administration. We also posted news of an upcoming Voluntary Retirement Incentive program, which will be offered to some of our longest-serving staff members. More details will be forthcoming next week.

This week, we added videos featuring key administrators providing a Resilient Cornell overview, speaking about progress on their groups, and seeking your input on workforce realignment plans.

Keeping the campus community well informed about Resilient Cornell is critical to its success. These updates represent progress toward strengthening our operations and supporting our community through thoughtful, transparent change.

Thank you, in advance, for your continued partnership, patience, and dedication to Cornell’s mission. Together, we are shaping a stronger, more resilient university for the years ahead.

In appreciation,

Michael I. Kotlikoff
